I’m absolutely thrilled to bits to be involved with this incredible production. Tonight we open Dublin Theate Festival 2016 with Don Giovanni. But this is not your average Don Giovanni. It has a new translation by Roddy Doyle and a sleek modern design by Bruno Schwengl.
This production has been an absolute joy to put together. The cast are sublime, tech crew slick and good humoured and the creative team supportive and nourishing.
I will be singing Zerlina alongside Tara Erraught as Elvira, Máire Flavin as Donna Anna, Alex Sprague as Don Ottavio, Brendan Collins as Masetto, John Molloy as Leporello, Johnathsn May as Commendatore and of course David Kempster as the lascivious Don. Fergus Sheil leads a sparkling RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
