I was thrilled to be asked to sing at the St Patrick’s Day celebrations for the All Party Parliamentary Group for the Irish in Britain this year. The incomparable Jean Kelly provided her usual excellence in arranging and performing some traditional Irish tunes for the day that was in it. Ambassador Dan Mulhall made a rousing speech and I was reminded how far British and Irish relations have come in the last few years. Old wounds mended one friendship at a time. A very special day to be Irish in Britain and a privilege to take part in the festivities.
