A Midsummer Night’s Dream was just that, an absolute dream. It was a real privilege to be wandering around the wilds of Norfolk in such glorious weather working with such a wonderful cast and creative team. Singing Tytania, wearing beautiful gowns (created by the endlessly talented Gidon Saks) and cavorting with all manner of beasts (including a donkey with the most astonishing chest wig you’ve ever seen) was a real pleasure. I’m glad the the reviewers thought so too. Writer and broadcaster David Nice has written a review of the production which you can find here. He writes: ‘the Tytania we saw [that’s me – above with Michael Taylor as Oberon…] – would be welcome on any stage anywhere’.
